Also, he was awarded a split decision victory in the fight. On August 22, 2020, he was set to meet Jared Gooden at UFC on ESPN 15. Gooden, on the other hand, withdrew from them during the week leading up to the tournament due to an unexplained injury. Instead, he had to deal with Daniel Rodriguez. In the first round, he was knocked out.
