After a few years in Los Angeles, he and his then-wife, Anne Freeman, founded the first HUF Worldwide store in the Tenderloin section of San Francisco in 2002, at her idea, utilizing the term he had already used on his skateboard decks and T-shirts. Limited-edition gear for bands, cartoon characters, and brands was available from HUF.
